Guest guest
I had Graves Disease. Boy did my thyroid hang out there. Mine just got so severe we took the sucker out. It's harder to control your weight without a thyroid gland..but it can be done. It got pretty rocky there for awhile. At first it seemed neat to have so much energy and weight trim. But overwhelming loads of thyroid....arrrghh. Bad. *¬*.¸¸.·´¨`»*«´¨`·.¸¸.*¬* On the internet, no knows you're a cat. ~StrykerMom~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ --- redhatladydiva wrote: > Hi Keliz > > The lump on your thyroid that the Dr. felt is just a > goiter. > Nothing serious. Guest guest
I was on the edge of " Storming " really bad. Fun part was I worked in a hospital at the time...they could see it. It's like trying to get out of your skin and fly to the moon....one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. I was so bad I started hyperventilating..finally just wanted it out. The surgeon said.. " You are the worst case of Graves I've ever seen " ....sleep...NOT! Anyway...first day it was out there was a dramatic change in me. Whew..I seriously thought it would kill me. I was sure of it. All the PTU and long acting Inderal on the planet wasn't slowing my heart or anything. It was beating to death. This stupid insurance company wanted to wait a year but I said " I won't live that long " . That's how bad it was...our local insurance took me in, knowing I would need surgery, and told me get a surgeon and get going. I think they saved my life. I wrote the lady in risk management after it was all over in serious gratitude for opening that door for me. I use them today with my Medicare called " Senior Care Plus. It's a good deal. *¬*.¸¸.·´¨`»*«´¨`·.¸¸.*¬* On the internet, no knows you're a cat. ~StrykerMom~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ --- redhatladydiva wrote: > Hi Catz > > I also had Graves Disease.
