Guest guest
Biddy here is a poem that my daughter sent to me during a very down part of my life. Maybe it will help. When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you're truding seems all uphill, When the funs are low, and the debts are high, and you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit rest if you must - but don't you quit. Success is failure turned inside out, the silver tint of the coulds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, it may be near when it seems afar, so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit it's when things go wrong, that you musn't quit. This dreaded disease, as you call it, has lead you to all of these wonderful new friends. Just think what it would be like if we didn't have the internet and had to go through this alone. Guest guest
Biddy, I agree with Peg. There have been MANY times where I thought that things couldn't get any worse. Then, I realized that things COULD get worse, but I should be thankful that they haven't. At those times, I try to pray to God to help me through it. I just tell him " God, I know the bible says that you won't give me anymore than I can handle, well,...you must think I'm a pretty strong person because I'm handling quite a bit right now. Could you please help me get through this, and show me the right way to go. " Usually after doing that, (before going to bed) I wake up feeling much better about things, and thankful for the day ahead of me. I gave you my phone number, call me anytime you would like to talk. I start 3rd shift today so I will be home all during the day. Or, if you would like, you can e-mail me your number, and I will call you. My prayers are with you! Guest guest
Oh Peg, I didn't mean to apply in anyway that about your pain/my pain. It NEVER entered my mind until I read this message. You are such a wonderful lady how could anyone even begin to think that of you? I know I didn't. The last message was so, so very long. Next time it will be a short one!! Guest guest
, ` I just cannot wait to meet you! I do believe that will be the highlight of my life since I got this thing. Doesn't seem as if my son and daughter-in-law want me to come up in August, so I just can't give you a date. But you can bet that I will let you know when I can come up asap. Thank you for all the kind words and caring so much. I have your telephone number. Hugs, Biddy Re: Don't Give up >Biddy, > I agree with Peg. Guest guest
Biddy, I have been dx since 95 and I haven't had any pain at all other than with the Ulcerative Colitis. No URQ pain what-so-ever. My LFTs have been pretty good. I need to go back for another one real soon. My last ERCP was in Jan. and the LFTs right after that were excellent. My GP was so excited about the levels being low. The GI was a little more low key. Now he is retiring and turning the business over to someone else. I am thinking about changing to a new liver specialist at s Hopkins. Guest guest
HI LARRY HOW OFTEN DO YOU GO FOR THE ERCP*S THANKS MARSHA
Guest guest
Larry! I don't know if you have read my message about my being in the ER last evening. I was going to go to see my best friend in Myrtle Beach while my hubby attended the chamber of commerce school in ton, S.C., but now I just cannot go. This pain keeps getting worse, but I can tell you that there are just so many, many people much, much worse off than I. When the pain gets this bad, I just have to keep reminding myself. My best friend asked me if I had had a MRI. I haven't. The pain, although always on the URQ, is now in my stomach area. Pain, dizziness, nausea. Have any of you had a MRI? If so, what did it reveal that you didn't already know? I don't know whether or not to approach my doc on this one -- she already feels so inadequate because she knows nothing about my condition and has told me so over and over again. She is a Christian doc and her staff are also Christians. Pam (my doc) said she would try and keep me as comfortable as she can. That means so much, but I have to ask her if this would be a good idea -- if that would be a good idea. I just might ask her tomorrow! Getting very worried about the constant stomach pain, etc. The URQ pain has been a part of my daily life for 3 years, but the stomach pain hasn't. Larry, I am planning on coming to our get-together in Baltimore, but since this last incidence I don't know if I will be able to. I will give it the old one-two though. I always wondered what people and docs meant when they said they should " fight " to stay alive -- I know now and it makes complete sense. Guest guest
Biddy, I'm really sorry to hear you're having the pain again. I have never had that so I don't know what you're going thru. I have never had an MRI either.Your health is the main concern at this time. Don't feel like you have to travel to Baltimore. I would love to meet you and give you a big hug, well maybe a small hug, don't want to give you any more pain. You take it a day at a time. We're still over a month away at this point so things may be a little better in a month. You take care of yourself, you're in my prayers. Guest guest
Larry, Thanks for your message -- it made me feel real good!! My hubby is leaving tomorrow for ton, S.C., for the chamber of commerce school! I usually go with him, but not this year I regret! I was going to stay with my best friend in Myrtle Beach while he was in ton, but here I will sit! Oh well, I haven't got anything better to do than irritate my mom and two of my best friends!! I am really afraid when the hubby leaves. He knows exactly what to do for me whenever the pain is usual or when the pain is bone-penetrating (I call it for a lack for a better term). When the pain is bone-penetrating, I usually have to go to the hospital. I hope this doesn't happen while he is away. As I said, I am so scared. I guess he is my security blanket. Hugs, Biddy Re: Don't Give up >Biddy, > >I'm really sorry to hear you're having the pain again. I have never had that >so I don't know what you're going thru. Guest guest
Hi Larry! I guess I have read this before, but I read it and you are one-in-a-million! You seem to have your finger on the pulse of everyone on the site! You know so much about us -- of course -- and you make everyone feel so good! Like the say in WV, " I will be there God willing and the creeks don't rise! " Hugs, Biddy Re: Don't Give up > > >>Biddy, >> >>I'm really sorry to hear you're having the pain again.
