Hi everyone,

It is so comforting to know that a lot of us share the love of Christ. I can

feel the love and caring from all of you. I have been praying daily for each

and everyone of you on this site. And I thank you for your prayers. I freaked

out when I was diagnosed for a few days. But then on the third night my

family and I sat in a circle on my bed and prayed for peace and comfort. I

have not " freaked out " since. Praise God! Oh I have my moments of depression

and I get a little scared when I think about what is ahead but I get through

it with Gods help. I don't feel like I need to run and run and run to try to

get away from this thing. Thank You and God bless all of you and those of you

caring for a PSC family member.

Love and Prayers, Vicki

Vicki--

It IS very scary being diagnosed w/PSC. I think those of us who have had it

for awhile and still aren't listed are probably amazed to still be here and

at the current shape we're in, given what the drs. first told us at diagnosis

- I know I am. If I could have known back then that 12+ yrs later (possibly

19), that I would have made it through this far w/o a tx and able to lead a

fairly " normal " life, then I wouldn't have been as stressed at the time I was

diagnosed. Of course, I for one believe and know that God has enabled me to

forget most of the rough spots - or at least how severe the rough spots were.

As far as peace is concerned, whenever I have had enough and say to Him,

" Please take this burden from me and keep it in Your hands, Your will be

done " - I, too, feel a tremendous peace and like a tremendous burden has been

lifted.

Hi,

My husband had an MRCP today, now we must wait and see if he has a diagnosis of

PSC, we don't see the Dr. until next Friday (24th). What I wanted to tell you

is

a story that a Dr. told me recently, it kind of gave me some hope.....a patient

of hers was diagnosed with PSC about 15 yrs. ago and at one time was placed on a

waiting list for a transplant...she has continued to do so well that she has

never had the need for one, as a matter of fact, so well that when she brought

in

her last form for the Dr. to sign for disability pension, the Dr. indeed stated

that her condition was stable and prognosis at this point good, she then changed

Doctors, obviously afraid that disability would be lost. My point is, that

although the odds say things will get progressivly worse, this particular Dr.

gave me reason to believe otherwise, even if it a rare case. The specialist

that

we are seeing next week told us in all his years of dealing with PSC, only one

patient has had to be transplanted. I will cling to the good news. Someone

here

said that with proper diet, good medical treatment and perhaps a little

'natural'

help such as milk thistle etc., maybe you can slow down the progression of this

disease. Let's hope so. I will let you know what diagnosis we come up with

next

week. I don't post much, I just read and learn from you all.

Thank You,

Patti

Dear Vicki,

You are an angel!!!! I, too am so thankful for all of the Christians in

this group!!! Y'all are my doctors when the real ones won't give out any

info!!haha!! Thank you for taking the time to share with us your love for

Christ. You talking about your family praying together...we do that every

night. I truly believe in that saying " The family that prays together stays

together. " God will always remove our burdens, but He wants us to ask him.

When witnessing to people, I always say that " God is a polite God...He's

waiting on us to ask for His help!! "

Take care!!

Love in Christ!!!!! You're gonna get through this!!! You're a fighter!

love, Jacquelyn

P.S. I am emailing y'all a Christian radio station over the internet that you

can listen to through your computer. The music is contemporary and is so

inspirational and encouraging!!!<A HREF= " http://www.klty.com/ " >Click here:
