Guest guest
Hi, I think the reason why we get off the topic is because we have become such a close group of friends we forget that we are a group for that "topic"...I know I forget too and consider everyone my friends in this wonderful group. Why cant it be more personal? Many hugs to all you angels and hope you are keeping well...Lee/australiaVicki Schulkin wrote: Del -- I didn't mean that the nature of the group as a support/discussion group should be changed. I think it does people a world of good, and it's useful to hear about people's lives and problems and solutions. And you're right that we couldn't expect a doctor to wade through looking for "medical" comments. I don't really have an answer, but maybe it's worth thinking about. If all those other people on the Yahoo group list were looking purely for medical info, maybe there could be two groups? Or maybe some of them read but don't post. It might be good to hear from some of them. Another thought I had was that it's hard to come into the group and figure out who everyone is. I really appreciated people introducing themselves, but it must get a little tiresome for the veterans. Maybe we could put together a "welcome" list on a separate document in which people who want to could include their introduction, and then the keeper of the list could e-mail it to new members who ask for it. It wouldn't have to have any information that people would feel uncomfortable providing, or that could turn it into some sort of "mailing list." I know it helps me to keep people straight by knowing things like first name and country/location, at a minimum. Vicki Vicki Hi Vicki--you have raised some intersting topics --which is good --I cant comment whether its worthwhile your getting checked for other sometimes related illnesses --if you have symptoms of them i guess you should--- I would like to address the issue of a DR or Dr's keeping an eye on the bronch site so they may perhaps learn from us --we could teach them a few things but dont think it would happen from reading these emails-- Some emails are exhaustively long and not related to bronch --they would need to employ a full time secretary to sift the bronch out from other stuff --Though they may be impressed with the discipline some have with keeping their health reasonable through their daily PD etc This group helped me enormously just over a year ago when i first joined --there are great people on the site willing to give support ,encouragement and advice --any advice given on this group should be run by a Dr before trying it anyway so you could always print out the particular email and tke it with you to your medical consult- I dint know mannitol was in crack cocaine --you,ve taught me something --cheers Del Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.yahoo.com
