Sunshine,

Get this checked out! If you can't get in to see your doc, go to the ER. This

sounds like a lot more than a little bit of edema and a rash. You could be

having nothing more than an allergic reaction, or you could have circulatory

problems and who knows what else, so please, don't wait to get this attended to.

Good luck.

Hugs,

a

SunShine you need to have it check out. I ended up in the ER a couple of weeks

ago for this same thing.red kind of swell up, pain more then right then the left

they did all kind of test found no blood clot but an infection called cellulites

which I had to have IV Medication and pain medication.

My right leg is doing the same thing again and not sure what is going on cause I

also have heart problems and I kind of feel that I might be getting ready to

have another spell with that. I am going to be calling my doctor before the

weekend is over with if I do not feel any better.

Take care and call your Doctor or go to the ER you should not let this go for a

long time I did and ended up in the hospital

let us know

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the posts about my legs. I did go see my primary doctor,

they squeezed me in on friday. He had no answers, except MAYBE i could

be allergic to nuts. I had a bowl of cereal that had nuts in it the

night of or the night before this started. I dont believe that for a

minute. He IS 73 years old and I love him, but I am in no way shape or

form comfortable with his diagnosis.

I have had cellulites after my histerectomy and almost died. I dont think this

is cellulitis because would it be in both legs? Or just one. He put me on

steroids. And last night my legs were even bigger.

The only other thing they found was that I had blood in my urine. But he said

everyone has blood in their urine. If I am not better by tomorrow I will go the

the er.

Thanks for the input and all the nice email. Take Care and have a

pain free day.

weaping.

Please push to get medical care this could be serious if left untreated.

I haven't worked as a nurse for thirty years, but I've always kept up on the

basics. A nut allergy would very quickly make your throat and face swell, not

your legs.

Please stop messing around. Go to the ER, or at the very least, to a weekend

walk-in clinic.

We don't want you to suddenly go " permanently missing " from the group.

Gail, If I really wanted to know what the problem was, I wouldn't

just look it up on a web site, after all, they DO have a disclaimer

on the site too.

Just for some peace of mind, I'd get to the Emergency Room. To be on

the safe side, you know?

You don't want to wake up dead, now do you?

NOT trying to be funny there either.

Dear Sunshine,

I have been thinking ever since you began posting that your legs sounded like

my mom's legs. Her legs swell so that the skin is red and shiny from the

swelling. Hers go down a little when she's been off her feet overnight, but they

never go down completely. They are painful as well.

She's being diagnoses with a lymph problem (can't thing of the name). Bottom

line was the lymph fluid, which bathes the tissues, wasn't returning to the

lymph channels. It was pooling out in the tissues.

Mom had to go through a long series of massage to get the lymph back into the

lymphatic system and she had to wear tight hose - like those you wear post op.

She has not been a compliant patient and it came back.

I still vote with the majority of the group who think you need to be seen by a

MD now!

Take care!

Elaine

Hi Gail,

Thanks hun for the web site. I dont know what john was talking about

but i did appreciate your effort. I did ask about my kidneys and he

said no. I dont know why he said that since i told him my kidneys had

been hurting. The feet and legs are somewhat better, perhaps the

steroids did help, thanks again.

Thanks to all of you who have helped me. I need to be honest and

explain why I dont want to go to the hospital here In emmett where i

live, its a very small hospital and they are all quacks.

But the main reason is this. A few weeks ago, I had a reaction to

taking my meds and then I drank ONE beer. I ended up in a coma. The bad thing

about all this is while i was in there, an adminitrator from my work happened to

be their and the nurses station violated my HIPAA rights and said I was a drug

addict because i take pain pills.

I had to get TWO notes from my doctor before my company would let me work again.

I am so far behin in everything I dont know what to do. I just bought a new car

and I am moving because they cut my hours back from 160 every two weeks to only

24 hours a week.

I am afraid to go back their because they never want to treat me because of my

cronic pain and the meds I have to take. I am on Norco, big deal. I do need to

go, I really do, but I am afraid.

Thanks again for all the support.

Sunshine
