Well, not good news. Despite not taking the altase for a week, my creatinin

level went up to 2.5-one-tenth of a point higher than last week. Now the

doc wants me to cut down on the water pill (lasix) to half the dosage and

cut out one potassium pill. I have to go back next week again and do

another creatinin level. Otherwise, I have to see a nephrologist. Very

scarey!

You avoid , besides the ones I listed prevviously, all milk products and

sodas-even if they are sugar free. Soda has a lot of potassium in it. The

worse thing about this diet is the vegetables that you cannot

eat-broccoli,spinich, dark green lettuces, tomatoes, potatoes, brussel

sprouts and I am not sure about what other vegetables you have to avoid.

Did I mention all citrus except for lemons?Of course, you cannot eat any

processed foods as they are so high in sodium, so this precludes things like

lunch meat, ham, and hot dogs and bacon.

I'd wait as long as I can if I were you! Sounds like you can't have

much. LaWanda At 09:38 AM 9/19/03 -0700, you wrote:
