Well, yesterday I saw Dr. S at the Columbus Arthritis Center for the first time. I absolutely loved him! He confirmed that I do have fibromyalgia (which I could never get my previous dr. to do, much less treat!), ordered an MRI of my right hand to see the extent of any damage (never had this done before), and ordered about three times as many blood tests as my old doc. His goal is to see how much of my pain is due to RA and how much is due to the fibro, so we'll know how to address treatment. I see him in two weeks to find out the results. My daughter saw him as well (she has fibromyalgia). However, they had never dealt with her insurance carrier before, so she has to make sure they will cover her before she has any tests run.
