Hi , my mother went for an eye test about 10 years ago with no symptoms and her readings were up to 70 something. She immediately had laser and they burnt holes in one eye damaging it. Since then she has had a few ops on her eyes to put a drainage hole in behind the eye.She is almost totally blind and gets awful pains in her head and I think that has contributed to her dementia. He has to have the optic nerve checked inboth eyes to see if there is any further damage.This is very scary, but we are grateful that the eyedoctor picked up on it.......the initial pressure testwas normal. With him it is lack of oxygen. has a goodfev1..in the 90's but very poor diffusion and this hascaused the glaucoma. He doesn't need supplemental O2at this point.I should point out that has emphysema in all hislobes and also bronchiectasis in all lobes, so itcould be the combination, I don't know.I just wanted everyone to be aware that glaucoma couldbe lurking........please get your eyes checked. in Canadasoft ocean breezes__________________________________________________
