Guest guest
Hello, I have a basic (I think) question about valtrex. Should I be giving an anti-fungal before and during the course of valtrex? Our DAN only prescribed the valtreex, but in my quick research it seems some (Stan Katzs and Goldberg) also like to give anti- fungals. Sorry if this has been answered before- and didn't find the info in my search. Thank you Marv mom to ny 9.5 years old
Guest guest
Dear , Thanks for the reply. I guess the valtrex must have helped your son a lot, since he has been on it a long time. Do you check liver function occasionally? Any bad side effects? My son has been on valtrex three days so far. He is 9.5 years old HFA/AS. n > > I know my answer will have mixed reviews, but here are my two cents > worth. Guest guest
Hello n, yes, the valtrex was like miraculous for our son. It seems that our son has a problem with the adenosine levels getting too high due to blocked metabolic pathways. Not many of our kids have this problem, but my son does. Docs don't know why yet, but the Valtrex brings the adenosine levels back down. Yes, we do get a liver function test done about every 3 months. His liver tests are always in the normal range. If you would like to email me off list, you may. my personal addy is awesomecremellos@...
Guest guest
, Our Dan Doctor prescribed the Valtrex mainly because of the herpes found in the bateria test for my son. I wonder if this can be severe. With valtrex, what are the main improvements you've seen for your son ? Thanks, > > Hello n, yes, the valtrex was like miraculous for our son. > It seems that our son has a problem with the adenosine levels getting > too high due to blocked metabolic pathways.
