Guest guest
Liz, I too have a strange rash on my butt. My wife ask me if someone bit me. It looks almost like a bite mark. I have had it now for about 2 months. Butt, it doesn't itch. Sorry for pun. Larry
Guest guest
Liz, I'm not a nurse but I am the ever inquizative one. Fortunately Phil's doctors have very good patience in answering my questions and infact seem to be more than willing. Even though Phil is the smarter of the two of us I seem to want to know more about what is happening or it's that he'd rather I sort it out and then tell him don't know if he thinks that if he doesn't think about it then it will go away. I'm not sure. Guest guest
Peg, it is the same in our situation, in that my husband does not ask alot of questions, and I sometimes think he almost leaves it up to me to gather all the information we need, think of the questions to ask etc., but I think he feels that me being a nurse it is natural for me to take the role of communicator with the physician. Our current hepatologist is great and very receptive to my questions and suggestions regarding his plan of care for my husband, so we are very pleased with him. Guest guest
Peg, a degree in common sense is, in my opinion, just as important as any in higher education. I know a few very intelligent and highly educated people who are incredibly inept at figuring out things that require only simple common sense. So consider yourself a master! Seriously though, I think you and I, and others in the role of caregiver, are able to help those we love a great deal by carrying whatever end of the burden they can't at one time or another. In our relationship, I am the case manager, so to speak. Thanks for your input, it helps to hear from other spouses of PSC'ers. Liz
