I had the whooshing sound but it was the malformation of my skull. This was gone the night after my brain surgery. While Chiari is rare it's not as rare as you'd think. And it is not something most docs look for. My primary doc was just sick of all my headaches I've had for years and decided to fight the insurance co. to get a real MRI of my brain - this is when it was found.

I missed the original post, but caught on to someone hearing a whooshing sound??

Have you had your blood pressure checked? Often high BP can cause you to feel/hear a whooshing sound. It can also come and go as your BP goes up and down. It might be advantageous to borrow or buy a home blood pressure kit to take your own BP.

, Dahhling, it’s amazing what

a xanax or something similar can do! You won’t know anything J

It is a good thing I have never heard

whooshing

noises, because they would never get me

diagnosed. I

have severe claustrophobia and the idea of

putting my

head in an MRI machine without being able to

move is

very scary to me.

If I can't serve as a good example, then I guess I'll just have to serve as a

horrible warning.
