Guest guest
HI Rae and Sue and Mel and everyone who has responded to my email: Hubby is ok, doctors are not saying much, but because of his diabetes they are giving him some kidney tests to see if his kidneys have been damaged. I guess having the flu and having the high potassium did not really have much to do with the other, other than he had been eating more citris for the vitimin c. (I bought some yummy Texus ruby red grapefriuts and he was drinking some grapefruit juice). Yes he did have a flu shot about 3 weeks ago, they couldn't get any flu shots in until then. I have been battling a huge upper respiratory thing myself, and they kept another day today to run more tests. Right after I got home Sunday from the hospital my son-in-law called me and told me he was in the hospital calling me from my daughters bedside. She is 6 mos pregnant and was going into pre-mature labor at 30 weeks! I couldn't get over to her becuase of my hubby plus because of this upper respiratory infection. Well they stopped the contractions but the baby is head down. So my daughter has strict orders to stay off her feet! Her husband had to fly to Washington DC mandatory for his job for the State of Michigan this morning. When it rains it pours! Love you all and hope you are all doing as well as possible! big hugs Nan __________________________________________________

Guest guest
: Wow, you do have a lot going on right now. I am sending prayers and healing to your husband and daughter both, and to you too. I was in the same situation as your daughter, but at 28 weeks my son just would not stay in any longer - he was only 2 pounds when born, but is now a healthy and happy 21 year old. Quite a shock as he was my first. That is good news that they got the labor stopped - with my second I went into premature labor again 3 months early and spent the last two months in bedrest on medication and a Tokos monitor to check daily for contractions, and then had my daughter only a month early. The medication I was on was called Brethine (it is also taken for asthma) and it was to stop the contractions and soothe the uterus. Must have worked because the day after I stopped taking it, my water broke. I am sure that they will do everything in their power to keep that little grandbaby inside until his/her time. Best of luck with all you have going on - Kathe in CA --- <nanday_blue@...> wrote: > HI Rae and Sue and Mel and everyone who has > responded to my email: Hubby is ok, doctors are not > saying much, but because of his diabetes they are > giving him some kidney tests to see if his kidneys > have been damaged.
