Guest guest
Thanks for the clarification..I was really paying attention, and just assumed that any foods with sal.. in them would not be eaten...obviously I am wrong...phew! I can handle no beauty products..I have three little ones and am a stay at home Mom so I hardly use makeup..as far as other stuff, I am sure I could live....It is funny as I looked this morning as ALL my stuff, shampoo, hand soap, toothpaste, etc has sal. or herbal products in them! I tried to subscribe to the guai list and my intial post was under review....it seems like they are quite strict, don't know if I like that and I don't have fibro so I probably won't be allowed to post...that kind of disturbed me a bit, about the attitude...Thanks, Kathy

" Kathy, Dr. St. Amand protocol discusses a diet for people who are hypoglycemic. It's referred to as the HG diet. The people who go on the HG diet are only people who have problems with elevated blood sugar. If you don't, including myself, you don't go on the HG diet. When you mentioned the word " restrictive, " I think you were referring to having to stay away from using salicylate (sal) -full products? That's where you have to be VERY careful. Dr. Amand notes that using sal-full products blocks the Guaifenesin from working. On his website, there is a complete list of sal-free, sal-full products that is updated regularly. Before I started guai, I made sure to print out the sal-free product list before I went to the drugstore so I knew what products were safe to use. There are no restrictions regarding diet except you cannot take herbal supplements, which are sal-full! Otherwise you can eat whatever you want unless you're following the HG diet. I hope I clarified your questions. Feel free to e-mail me back if you still have questions. Warm Regards, Debra deb.leigh@...
