Guest guest
I don't know what you have, , but yesterday I was sitting in a garage sale line, and a woman asked me why I was in a wheel chair. I said, I have some multiple things going on, one of which was Fibromyalgia. She said she also has Fibro, and that she stopped eating all whole grains, and she still has some minor problems, but that for the most part she rarely has a flare-up. Has anyone else heard about this? I eat a lot of whole grains - I hate to give them up - because there are an awful lot of benefits to eating them also! Gayla http://chronicpain-byladyfrog.com newbie question Hi, i am new to all this and was wondering if there are any trigger foods i should stay away from that may flare up the aches and pains. i heard tomatoes are one of them and maybe even chocolate is that right? or is it different for everyone? wendy ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Need Mail bonding? Guest guest
Hello , I'm not sure if I've met you or not. Either way, it's nice to meet you, or meet you again! LOL If I only had a memory, I lost it and can't seem to locate it. Chocolate is always a good thing. I didn't need it, but I made my yummy Hershey chocolate/chocolate cake this past week. It went fast. lol This cake will take away anything that ails you. lol I promise! And it's fail proof. Sorry, we didn't even save anyone a bite even. I hope you are having a good day. Hugs, Tommie Re: newbie question peri i think we are sole mates, lol! i absolutely love chocolate and will be devastated if i could not eat it, it is such a good comfort food hey! i know it makes me feel good but just wondered if there was a correlation with having too much sugar in ones diet and pain. thanks for the welcome wendy . Guest guest
Gayla, I've been reading all the posts about foods and Fibro or pain. I've not heard of foods causing us more pain. Now if a person has Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Syndrome, then yes, foods and other things cause problems with pain. I have a friend with MCSS and she had to go gluten free and all kinds of changes in her diet as well as cleaning products. You just wouldn't believe the changes she had to make, even in the air she breathes to feel better. I'm glad I'm not plagued with that dreaded illness. It's horrible. I'll have to see if I can find some reading to do on foods and pain. This is the first I've heard of it. I hope you are having a nice day! Guest guest
I have never heard of MCSS, Tommie! My goodness - I wonder if that includes Drugs? I am a mess right now. Lethargic, feel drugged all of the times, sleeping way more than I should - sometimes 16 - 18 hours a day. Not good sleep at all, but in bed that many hours...up and down through out that time. I haven't been able to tell if it is boredom, drugs, depression, or something else wrong. I am waiting for the CPAP machine in hopes that I can actually get a good nights sleep - the drugs don't knock out the pain, but I am so hypersensitive to them that the knock me out! I'll investigate MCSS! Guest guest
I'm trying to remember if drugs are included in that Gayla. I would think they are. It's been quite a while since I have spoke with my friend. She moved to the Western parts of Canada and got better with things she was doing there. She even had to have the metal fillings removed from her teeth and have porcelain put in. The metal was causing her problems as well. I'm sure she had sensitivities to medicine too. I just can't remember the details of that part. It was so sad hearing all she had to go through and do in order to live. Sure, something you should read about with you being so sensitive to meds. Never know. She had a very hard time getting dx'd though. It's one of those illnesses like fibro and cfs, no lab tests to be performed to test for it.
