Guest guest
I couldn't find anything about isoprenisine but did find some stuff about isoprene which is an isoprenoid. .. Here is the gist of it. http://www.inform.umd.edu/EdRes/Colleges/LFSC/life_sciences/.plant_biology/Medic\ inals/pharmacognosy2.html TERPENOIDS Terpenoids form the largest group of plant products and are the most common ingredient in volatile oils. They include camphor, Beta-carotene, and digitalin, for example, AND ARE SOMETIMES REFERRED TO AS ISOPRENOIDS, DUE TO THE FACT THAT ALL TERPENOIDS ARE DERIVED FROM A 5-CARBON PRECURSOR ISOPRENE (Harborne and Baxter, 552). etc. etc. Ora > > > At 20:59 30/07/99 -0700, you wrote: > > > > > >Hi Ladies: > > > >I am having no luck finding any information on the web about > >Isoprenosine. > > What is the drugs generic name? > > Judy. > ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ " ~ > HeartAtHome@... > http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Meadows/3144 > > Moderator Lichen Sclerosus Support and Information List. > http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/8843/ > > ---------------------------
Guest guest
It could also be that your body is already dehydrated and this is why you are not able to hold down any solid food. If this continues the best thing may be to go to the ER and have them put you on a drip to restore your electrolyte balance etc. And yes, I too agree with about getting in to see your Gastro specialist. If this has happened before and you are extremely deficient in Sodium it's a sign your electrolytes are off as well, including absorption of necessary Vitamins/Minerals etc. How long have you not been able to hold down food? I know when I had a horrible spell with my headaches/nausea etc and ended up in the ER after passing out in my PT's office -- they put me on IV fluids and said to come back within 24 hours if I continued to be nauseaus and could not hold down fluids. Once your body is lacking/dehydrated it will begin to show other signs -- to say " help me " ... sorry you're going through all this. I would recommend clear liquids, broth, herb tea, juice, frozen fruit bars and/or sorbet ... and going to the hospital -- as dehydration especially in summer is nothing to mess with. -- Thinking of you -- > > > > Subject: can anyone help me? > To: Hugs-N-Pain > Date: Monday, July 13, 2009, 6:25 PM > > > I am in trouble. Since Sat. afternoon, I have not been able to hold down solid foods. I can hold liquids, as long as I drink them slowly. My reg doc is on vacation, so I saw one that I sometimes see here in town. He told me that there is nothing to worry about. He said we could go for weeks w/o food, as long as we have liquids. Now, I had gastric bypass surgery in 02. I tried explaining this to this doc, but he still said there was nothing to worry about. I had a similar problem last year, but that was a sore throat and not able to eat anything but pudding and yogurt. I ended up with lithium poisoning. I got that because, even tho I was taking my meds like I was supposed to, my body had no sodium, and you need that in order for the lithium work like it is supposed to. I'm not on the lithium any longer. What do I do? Do I keep trying to eat, and continue puking? I just am so lost. > > Thanks, Kellie > > > > ------------------------------------ > > To read these messages on the Hugs web site go to: > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Hugs-N-Pain > you can contact me privately at starlyin@... > Rose > Owner/ Moderator Hugs N Pain > God Bless our Troops > Please Pray for them

Guest guest
A much better tasting drink. Great to have around for Summer activities and when someone gets ill. Much cheaper too! The salt provides sodium. The orange juice potassium,(both lost in sweat) and the sugar glucose. (carbohydrate for energy) SERVES 8 (change servings and units) Change to: Servings US Metric  1 2 3 4 5 clear stars Write a Review! (optional)   SubmitCancel Ingredients 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup orange juice 1 (1/4 ounce) package unsweetened flavored drink mix (Kool-Aid, Wylers-any will do) 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 quarts water Directions 1Add all ingredients in a 2 quart pitcher. 2Stir thoroughly. Here's a bunch of goodies in the Amazon link...and of course..the ol' fashioned Gatoraide...sip while it's really cold. One thing about nausea is that food or drink has to be hot...really hot if it's supposed to be or really cold if it's supposed to be. Something about in the middle when you feel queezy sick doesn't cut it. http://www.amazon.com/ElectroMIX-Electrolyte-Replacement-Drink-Mix/dp/B000KHIYNI Lotacats “I love cats because I enjoy my home; and little by little, they become its visible soul.†Twitter_follow me http://twitter.com/LotacatsFunPix Express Chronic Pain Awareness http://www.cafepress.com/lotacatspix/5815010 Lotacatsfunpix.com http://www.lotacatsfunpix.com/ Deviantart http://lotacats05.deviantart.com/ Subject: can anyone help me? Guest guest
This year I seem to have had more nausea than I know what to do with and what Lotsacats said is SO TRUE about beverages being at their exact preparation temperature -- meaning hot tea being very hot and cold beverages being right cold -- I've run into trouble when things are " warm " ... I found jello & popsicles helpful. And when nothing seems to work Zofram was my saving grace. -- Hoping you're feeling better soon! -- > > > > Subject: can anyone help me? > To: Hugs-N-Pain > Date: Monday, July 13, 2009, 9:25 PM > > > > > > > > > I am in trouble. Guest guest
I've been feeling crappy for about a week or so....the heat doesn't help and yesterday had to turn on the air conditioning....I keep it off mostly...but I was siiiiiiiiiiiiick.  I've had trouble with dizziness/nausea.  My ears don't feel right.  Like some kind of infection going on.  So far this morning a little better but the day is young.  Maybe a bug going around.  Not a real big one but one that makes you ears go crappy and dizzy...and low energy...real low. I make a sherbert type of yummy with milk and concentrated fruit juice and use an ice cream maker.  Really yummie....hardly any sugar.  Maybe a couple of tablespoons.  But mainly just fruit juice and milk.  The juices you can get are mixed with yummie stuff but pure fruit.  Orange, quava, and whatever mix trips yur trigger.  When you're queezy it helps nice.  Real cold and good for you.  Three cups of milk and I dump in the whole concentrate fruit juice and whip it up. http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-ICE-20-Automatic-2-Quart-Ice-Cream/dp/B00000JGRT That's the one I use....way too easy to use.  You'll have sherberts coming out of ur ears....lol.  Or get those caleries up and make ice cream with whipping cream.  I make that as well.  French Vanilla and you can make some really nice fruit stuff with fresh fruit. Guest guest
-Kelle, If you can not see your regular Doctor, get to the emergency room. They can give you medication to stop the throwing up and ensure that you get the right balance of liguids. Your body needs electrolytes, which among other things contains soduim and potassium. You can become more ill if you deplete your balance too much. Also they can determine a cause for your problem. Please do not wait to long to seek medical intervention. Hoping you feel better soon.
