Just wanted to check my definitions. An onda mel is a two stanza eight line

(total) love poem. The " one " I shared last night is really three onda mels.

There is a syllable pattern and a rhyme pattern. The syllable pattern is the

same for both stanzas- the rhyme pattern is a little different. The first

and last line of each stanza are eight syllables apiece and the third and

fourth lines - four syllables. The rhyme scheme is abba cddc. If I were to

diagram it would like this:

8A(night)

4B (tones)

4B (alone)

8A (tight)

8C (memory)

4D (flannel)

4D (tell)

8C (me)

I hope that makes sense- sort of takes the romance out of it - like school-

doesn't it? I flipped the first and last lines of the poems around as a

style choice- not part of the form. I tried to pull the poems together in

the phrasing in the first line of the second stanza of each( lullaby of

memory, canticle of mystery, parallels of reverie). Sorry- I think my job

has taught me to make the obvious obscure and the obscure obvious. Just

thought if you ever get bored -lol- you or others might want to try. I like

the challenge and it is satisfying when done.

Thanks again, Tess!

Hugs,
