Jack:

I'm not quite sure just which medication you are talking

about.......I've been on so many..........my life back then was a big

blur!!

However, I was on Ativan for a while and then I was on

Clonazepan/Klonopin. Although all my doctors would disagree, they

both gave me some pretty wierd side effects........tremors, muscle

twitches, etc. I discontinued the use of several drugs against

doctors' orders - and guess what, I felt so much better.

Trudy was on one or both of these drgus also for quite a

while.....you might want to check with her. Sorry I couldn't be of

more help to you. Trudy - are you there?

Hi Jack:

I found that if I had just *one* missed dose, all h*ll broke lose! I am

firmly convinced that that *one* missed dose was *withdrawal*!!! Terrible

experience...........I weaned myself off it. It is extremely important to

come off of this drug very slowly.

I've had insomnia since I was about 12. (really unusual for me to be asleep

before 3am). Once I'm asleep though I can get 6-7 hours in. (one advantage of

working from home is that if I wake up at 9am I can be working 5 minutes later!)

recently though (in the last 6 months) I've been able to sleep before midnight.

This may be because of the heart meds or being generally unfit! I've never taken

any meds to get to sleep.

A trick I learnt since the start of AF is to go to sleep with the radio on. In

the early days it was so annoying to hear my heart beat with my head against the

pillow - the background noise is a good distraction. (the radio has a nice sleep

feature on it - I set it to switch itself of after 90 minutes - by which time

I'm usually asleep).

cheers
