Dr. called last night around 5 and said my bottom right lobe looked like a crinkled paper bag. He thinks it is possibly collapsed. I guess that's why I have had so many sharp pains on my right side. Any advice, help or questions to ask would be great!!

Jeanie, a collapsed lung can be terribly painful, and heat applied will

help. It will cause you breathless ness too, didn,t your doctor give you any

advice.

Sometimes you need an Ab, but as far as i know usually it goes away by

itself in time, heals itself.

I have had collapsed lungs twice, and they repaired themselves , took a very

long time though, I was in pain and breathless all the time.

However the doctor should check to see why the lung collapsed.

Has it been punctured, injured by constant coughing etc.

You must find out why this has happened , maybe its worn out too, but only

the doctors should make a call and tell you all.

You must ask.

But heat will help, as will some pain relief, and puffers etc, maybe

ventolin, thats what I had to use for the breathlessness.

But may not be same for you.

Hope you demand answers.

Good luck and please lets know what the outcome is.

Try and keep extra warm, out of draughts and wind etc, oh and smoke, smog

etc.

All will hamper the problem.

Good luck and hope to see your replies as they come.

Bye for now,

Sandy ( from Australia)
