Guest guest
Debbie, I am so glad your friend reached out. I too had a three level spinal surgery for blown out discs and over 20 epidural sticks. I had extensive scarring and was actually doing well after my surgery Aug 2004, I was coming home from physical therapy in Jan 2005 and a guy pulls out in front of me on a highway and I pushed hard on the brake to try to stop and I dislocated my SI joint but they did not find out the reason for my pain until Sept after doing a lumbar myelogram. I kept telling them that it was not my surgery site. I had scarring from that and have no impingement (they say) and I hurt 24//7. The guy that pulled out in front of me did not have insurance and I was driving my Moms car (who had died 6 months before) my dad had lent it to me because I had put so much mileage on my caring for her miles away. Well, he didn't have collision so no one paid and I was out a car and thank God my medical is paying some of my insurance bills. I did get a lawyer because my auto insurance is supposed to cover and they say they will but we are waiting to turn everything in when I know I am officially " better " . I know others have it worse but it just makes me so mad for the auto wreck part. I have a 18 year old high school senior who is going to college and thinks we should pay for everything and I cannot explain to him that things have changed. We are asking him to live at home as we can help and he is being a turd by wanting to go far away. It is just extra stress, I feel guilty. My husband is supportive of me and we will make it but I do get depressed and this site is great. Sorry, this is so long but we care and you e-mail anytime. We can pray and listen and encourage. It has been a life send for me as everyone here understands and I feel I am not burdening my family by complaining.
