Guest guest
It is a long story so here it goes. In march of 2004 I was in a single car rollover. I was not driving but all the same I was drinking. The lady that owned the car had way more than me but she also took a bunch of meds Like valum( cant spell it) and other anti depressants while drinking. Noone knew that she took Those meds till after the accident. She was trying to kill herself and she didn't care who she took with her She was doing over 80 and there was this curve( several people have died there). She ended up rolling bher pathfinder 3 times. When we stopped rolling I was hanging side ways in my seat belt and I also hit my head hard on the other passanger and on the window. Needless to say I ended up with a messed up Back, hip, shoulder. Plus sense I hot my head several times I have trouble seeing and Have trouble with sever migraines. So I have been to numerous doctors. They Finally diagnosed me with neuropathy. They even gave me a wheel chair So when I get bad enough I cant walk then I can still get out of bed with my kids. For the first 6 months after the accident I could not even stand up by myself. Now I cant stand for more than 5 minutes with out falling. Jenn -- Re: does anyone Jenn, I went threw that when I first got hurt 16 yrs ago. Guest guest
I want you to be sure to tell your doctor at your next appointment that you need to be more thoroughly checked out. Have you been to a neurologist? Has anyone done an MRI or CAT scan? I feel like you aren't getting the proper treatment. I am in no way a doctor, so this certainly isn't medical advice, but please, you need to see someone who can help you. Guest guest
Thats horrible why did they let her drive knowing she wanted to hurt herself and anyone with her? Alcohol and medication never mix but doesn't change things now. Will it ever clear up with you or is it for life now ? Terry jenn tidwell wrote: It is a long story so here it goes. Guest guest
Hi Jenn Yes I get depressed because of the pain. There are days where I get so frustrated because of the pain that I just want to say the heck with it all. My pain levels are a constant 8-9 24/7. It gets tiring day after day because I have found that a lot of people don't believe me because they can't see anything wrong with me. Hang in there and just come to the group here and talk. We can talk you through your bleak times. My latest episode of depression has lasted for almost 2 months now. It is a real struggle to get through the day, but I manage to do it and you can to. You have your kids that need you. Guest guest
Hi Jenn In diagnosing neuropathy, they do certain tests. An EMG, Nerve Conduction and Sweat test. Those tests show if the large and small nerves are damaged or dead. They also do a whole ton of tests to rule different things out.
