Guest guest
Congratulations ! You will really like this new computer and the screen reader software, if that is what you use. Always keep your screen reader up to date, since it is your eyes for surfing the internet and performing all kinds of tasks. I consider my computer as my car, and I can drive it all over the world visiting many places. Good going! Guest guest
bill, i am totally blind and require the speach. just unpacked equipment and the setup tool k place yesterday. i will get my first lesson next wednesday so i have a week to play with it and see what trouble i can get into. look forward to the book reader. any tips on getting it to work? thanks, karen Re: Nuts Before Bedtime > , > > Do you read the computer print or are you totally blind and need speech to read to you what is on the computer? A screen reader reads the text from the screen into synthesized voice by using such programs as JAWS and Window Eyes. On the other hand, if you need magnification instead for print, you would use a program such as Magic or Zoomtext to blow up the print on screen. And with either of those you can also have speech or you can use Magic in conjunction with JAWS for added convenience. Hope this helps you figure out what you might be getting into. > > Congrats on the new computer! > > Bill > >
Guest guest
watch out for local restaurant salad dressings since many put sugar in their salad dressings. I.E the house dressing might be an oil type dressing but has lots of sugar in it. regards, Re: Nuts Before Bedtime > > > > > > > > > > Harry, > > > > > > > > You make a very good point about watching the glucose level to be sure > > > it's not at or very near target range before bedtime. Guest guest
, You are right about having to watch out for house dressings. There is no way of knowing what amount of sugar is in their recipes. Bill
Guest guest
yup, not only house dressings, but also house soups and sauces like pasta sauce. Many places use sugar in soups and sauces to spunk it up. regards, Re: Nuts Before Bedtime > , > > You are right about having to watch out for house dressings.
