> i am only 28 yrs old and in chronic AF would you not feel an EP study

would clarify >your condition ,you may have one focal point easily cured by

ablation. My friend held off for >6 years who is in her twenties on all

medications including amiodarone had an EP study found >one focal point now

cured. My case is about location next to sinus node waiting on new >cathetersfor

better access. It is just a thought, all the best Stuart

My doctors have said I can go down this road but they're are not confident that

they will be able to find anything to ablate or if they do ablate I'm still

likely to ahve AF. Personally I'm not too happy about going down this road as

I'm not sure the cause of my AF is anything to do with my heart- AF is just a

very uncomfortable symptom. I understand that as time goes on the heart itself

can become one of the problems so I'd like to be cured as soon as possible! I'm

currently trying verapamil - the sixth drug I've tried and have just come out of

a very unpleasant 36 hours of AF. I was only taking the drug for 2 days before

the attack so I'm hoping my body is just getting 'acclimatised'. I've started on

a low dose so it looks like I'll be upping this. At some stage I will have to

make the hard decision of whether I can stick the AF out until the wonder cure

comes or whether I go down the invasive road. This is not a decision I'm looking

forward to but I'm also getting mightily fed up of been out of action for around

6-8 weeks every year.

All the best.

Sher, Do not go to ss/dis on your leg etc. go JUST on the fibrosis. They should not put the two cases together. The other is not fatal, fibrosis is. You can, at least in TN, be on SS and still apply for ss/dis. They say the ss is to help you survive till the disability comes in. This is what my hubby has to do because of his heart failure and not old enough to fully retire yet. the people a SS told him to retire at 62(early) and then apply for disability in case it takes too long. I'm not sure of your age, but contact a lawyer about this. GOD BLESS HP 6/06Sher K Bauman wrote: Gee, thanks for the replies from so many of you. Sorry Sher, it's called oldtimers Sher K Bauman wrote: I will try again re: SS/Disability and let you know. I think you have me mixed up (as I often do) with someone else...I don't have a "leg" problem and I did inquire about the pf only. Same answers. Thanks , Sher Re: Sher, DEFINETELY appeal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Raise a stink, stomp your feet!!! Find a good atty that says yes your qualified.
