Finally dr.apt, more questions than answers

I finally got in to see the rheumatologist today. I saw two doctors. First the

intern then the Big doc. I mention to the internist that I have had a recurrent

sore throat since this all started. He looks in my throat during the exam and

gasps. He questions me if I have had strep recently. I said no, not that I know

of. The big doc comes in, looks in my throat, gasps as well, says " i have never

seen anything like that, We need to get her to the ENT department today " ... the

intern does a culture of my throat, but the big doc says, " I think that will

need a biopsy " ..they examine my joints.... talk about my blood tests. Tell me

my case is very complicated. Order more blood tests, talk about starting me on

methotrexate after the ENT give the rheumy a report, and my Blood tests are

done. To make matters worse, I also started having blood in my urine about a

week ago, pain with urination starting yesterday. So needless to say, I am a

mess. Feeling a little scared about what might be going on.

I feel like we came away from that appointment with more questions than answers,

not to mention I did not get into the ENT today. I was told i should get an

appointment within 48 hours.
