Someone suggested to me a type of belt/brace (for lack of a better

explanation. I picture this as a type of thing people lifting heavy

objects would wear to protect their backs) that is magnetic.

Supposedly the magnets do something to lessen the back pain. Has

anyone heard of anything like this?

Yes is it is a based on junk science. It is just a few pieces of

magnetized metal in a nylon belt with a velcro buckle. It is some

sort of new age thing that does not do any thing other than lighten

your wallet and out more weight on you back or leg ect

Yes, I have. I think it is a take on the older copper braclets that people wore

on their wrists for arthritis pain. Many people swore by them and claimed they

were wonderful. This type of thing from what I understand is basically the same

thing. Once again they will sell anything that they can knowing that those of

us in pain will do anything to get relief. This is only my opinion, but I would

not buy one. I personally beleive you would be wasting your money, and helping

someone else get rich at your expense. Gwen
