Hello all! I haven't been feeling too great lately but am still

smiling up here in icy Oklahoma. The roads in my neck of the woods

are covered with 4 inches of ice.

Has anyone ever seen a thunderstorm with lightning when the temp is

12 degrees outside...that is what I saw the other night...the ice

was streaming down from the sky and it was thundering and lightning

was lighting everything up...very wierd.

Today it is supposed to get up in the 40's and I can't wait.

Yesterday, I felt like I should go to the hospital and am still

wondering why I stayed home but I did. My left arm hurt from the

armpit on down and I had trouble breathing. I couldn't lift

anything with the arm and just took my muscle relaxers and pain

pills all day long.

I got in our single waterbed(the one with the broken heater - it is

on constantly) and laid there for about 3 hours and it eased up some

but was still very painful.

Today it is better - less painful so I figure it was the extreme

cold we went through.

I keep thinking I am going to get better - I guess even after so

many years that I am still in denial about how bad my RA is...

On a good note...I finished 2 quilts before Christmas and have

another almost done. I am making a new quilted jacket to wear to

the quilt show in OKC the 13-15. I am taking my SIL to the show and

we are staying at a hotel for 2 days - no dirty dishes - room

service - for 2 days I will be in heaven - PLUS I get to look at

beautiful quilts and take a couple classes.

Can you tell I am excited...this disease will not get me down.

How are everyones New Year's resolutions coming...mine are still

being decided...lol

God bless,

Althea
