Dear carol, I am so sorry that you have been going through so much

lately, I hope and pray that your husband and brother do better in

the near future and I will also pray that the lump on your tongue is

nothing serious. Keep the faith strong and you will have good

things coming down your way. Hugs ~ROSA~

Dear Group,

I have been lurking but not posting for quite awhile. My husbands kidney

cancer has the possibility of returning and we have been doing numerous tests.

All of you know how serious stress can sap you energy and that is where I

have been. My brother had Prostrate cancer surgery 2 weeks ago. I feel like I

have lived at the 2 hospitals in town lately. I love my family very much,

so it has been real scarey to have so many people I care about be sick. I am

sorry I have been so lax in my writing. I do read the messages and

especially pray for all of you during my morning prayers time.

Tomorrow I have to check into short-stay-surgery to have a lump the

approximate size of a pinto bean removed from the side of my tongue?????? I

have

been battling this for over 2 months, don't know how I got it, but it won't go

away. The surgeon said that I have to be put completely under due to the fact

that the tongue is difficult to get ahold of and moves so much. He is my

regular ENT and I like him a lot, plus he is known for being very good. I

absolutely hate anesethia! After taking a complete medical history and

finding

out that my mother died of cancer of the neck - (above the shoulders) he said

that he would be doing a very comprehensive biopsy. I am very scared, when

I am I just pull inside and get real quiet, even on the computer. I know -

I'm so sorry about all the worry and stress you've been facing, Carol.

We're good listeners if you ever want to unburden yourself here instead

of carrying the weight alone.

I hope everything goes very well today and that the lump is benign.

Please check in and let us know how your recovery is going when and if

you are able.

You're in my prayers.

I'll tell you where to go!

Hi All,

Checking in with all of you. I think I am on the other side of all the

tongue stuff, etc. I was doing fine on Hyperbaric Treatments until I got this

Bronchial thing that is going around and had to stop. ( You can't have a

coughing attack in the tube). Went to the Dr. and his whole office was the

" working sick " # & $*)% Because of all my drug allergies he only put me on

Mucinex

OTC because you could feel my chest rattle. Went back today (1 week later)

and I now have Bactrim and Tessalon Pearls - Dr. says I have Pleurisy. I run a

fever off and on - Tomorrow I need to get a chest exray. The chest pain is

pretty bad and fatigue when I do anything.

The point of above is - please be very careful because this infection sneaks

up and hits you with a pretty powerful punch. I think I got it from my

Grandson who I pick up from school 3 times per week, he had a cough and

sniffles,

but WE ALL get it so much worse. So please take care .

I know I haven't posted very much, I do read every post, it is just very

hard right now and would rather spend my energy keeping all of you in my

prayers.

Gentle Hugs,

Carol M. in CA

Carol,

Glad your tongue is getting better, but sorry you've been so sick.

Kids love to share their germs.

I hope you feel better quickly. Pleurisy is so painful. Take it easy

and get lots of rest.
