Guest guest
I have some free time this afternoon and have been able to a little more reading of posts than I normally do and wanted to offer up some comments. Toni: Thank you for the information you posted. It seemed to be more comprehensive than any explanation I have read before and very understandable. How would you rate overall how you have done on the lapband and have you had to have it adjusted as mentioned? Congratulations on what you have achieved. Peggy: Prayers from me and from most I am sure within the RA family are in progress not only later but during the time your request is being read. Multiply that by the hundreds in the group and you have quite an assault on the heavens....which only results in the best even though you may not see a comment here on them. Please do not forget the promise " Where two or more are gathered in my name...... " My prayer is specifically for the family and you to gain strength and peace regarding the mother who has passed on. She has been released from her prison of pain and is doing well. I hope you and the family obtain your peace with this. Dreamer: I am able to relate with you entirely and the others on the opening of lids. There are days I do not have the strength to grasp the lid let alone turn it. I have a place just outside the back door that I am always taking my jars to and tapping on the cement. My grandson also takes them out for me. I have a friend who keeps sending me jar lid, grippers, however, I am sure the inventors never had a problem to begin with because they never do work. I just read somewhere to purchase an excellent quality rubber (or latex free) glove....the kind that has the textured fingers....that the texture makes for a simpler way to remove the lids. I think I am going to try that one to see if it works...I would have a pair of gloves to do household chores with if it doesn't work rather than have a bunch of useless objects in the catch all drawer that have no function what-so-ever. Judi: WOW! It is hard to believe TJ and the Trips are as old as they are now. Seems only yesterday they were being awaited by their mother who was on complete bed rest. How are the terrible twos going? Are you geared for the terrorizing threes? It won't be long until TJ starts real school.....isn't it amazing? I still continue to read your posts with awe at how you handle the stress in your life. I have quite a bit of stress, however, I don't think I handle it as well as you. Chicken Pox...that is going to be fun....now isn't it? I have three places on my body where I broke out with the Pox as a youngster where it has remained and continues to show up once in a blue moon (was more frequent before my forties). Two have been on my face and have been disguised as cold sores (which is supposed to be the same herpes virus). One eye specialist just called the one on my eye, Shingles. I will keep you and your family in prayer. Tess: I am so pleased to watch your progress and am so pleased and grateful for what you have gone through and achieved. My daughter was in an accident in September and have had to rely on others for all this time. A girlfriend of min was bought a brand new Malibu two weeks ago and signed her very old (1990) Honda Accord over to her for a $1. On the " But you don't look sick.... " , I do believe that goes way back to about two years ago when Carol in FL was presenting a talk or something on the Invisible Diseases and was an article she posted. I thought I had it in my archives but was unable to find it. I must have printed it out and files it for future reference not telling myself how far in the future as all my folders and files are still packed away from the move (need to get a cabinet for them). Maybe if a and (or even ) have not deleted them, they can still be found. Speaking of Carol...has anyone heard from her? I have not heard from her since before the Hurricanes last year and her emails were coming back auto response that the Hurricane had hit pretty hard and she would get in touch. Encouraging thought though, I did send her a Christmas card and it hasn't returned. If Carol is reading this...would like her to know I have kept her in my prayers and hopefully she will post. If anyone is in touch with her...could you let us know how she is doing? We have heard from Kathe in CA recently but I also wonder what has happened to the other parts of the Kath triangle...Kathe, Kathy, and Kathi. Then there is Big AL...where is he now? And Deb in FL...(think I received a Christmas card from her though) And Heidi? Have seen so many of the ones that used to post on a regular basis since about Christmas doing some posting so that is a good thing. They are all in my positive thoughts and prayers every time I read these posts and other times. Take care one and all....be thankful for this glorious day....and remember SMILES, everyone!
