Guest guest
Hi Kathe in CA, this is Nan in Michigan, and if I didn't have my animals to keep me doing, there are some days I wouldn't want to go on. I have RA and I also have other things on the top of which and which one of the worst things is bipolar disorder. It is by far the worst. You can do exercises to help your muscles and maybe your joints you can take some medications, etc,. Pain pills or different meds that can halt the disorder for a while. But the depression (even the meds they give me for it) nothing lifts me up out of that but unconditional love. Where do I get it from? My animals. I have rescued a nanday conure and she is my baby girl (rescued her about 6 years ago ) I also rescued a little parrolette and had her for the last three years of her life until she died last summer of old age. I've rescued numerous cats and dogs who I nursed through many a health emergency and have come to be such sweet members of my family. I also have a small English game hen in a big cage in my kitchen!! She is beautiful, I brought her in last fall because all her sisters and brothers were picked off by a chicken hawk after I had raised them from little poults all summer and by fall I thought they would be safe enough to put out with the bigger hens and roosters. When she was the only one left I said OK THAT IS ENOUGH! Not losing my last girl!!! Now we have our cuddle time watching TV and she talks to me and she lays me a little egg about an inch and a half big every day! Then last summer I got Charlie, he looks like a little Ewok............he is a Brussels Griffon (3/4) and 1/4 toy poodle. He is my little guy who loves me and my husband so much and unconditionally. All my life I have had it difficult emotionally, mentally, and physically and I love every breathing creature great and small, because they have at times given me purpose and a will to live. I thank God every day that we have our animals on the earth. Such a blessing they are. And it's not that I ever worship them, don't get me wrong, they are like a job for me, or a purpose that God gave me. The bible did say we should care for the Earth and the things in it. That is something that I think has been taken SO lightly. Now we are paying for not keeping that instruction from God but that is another sermon, eh????? Love you all and thanks Kathe for bringing me a subject I can blah blah blah about LOL Nan in Michigan PS I wish I was in CA It's too cold here and I have to go out and feed my duckies and chickens but then I get to see and talk to " mama's babies " too! ;-) __________________________________________________
