Yes, venting time!!

Well my lil guy has been in hospital again for the last 2 days! He is doing

good! His stoma prolapsed about a foot. Used to smaller prolapses but this one

was very disturbing and it did cause him pain. Turns out his colon was impacted

again(should be no stool in there), but yet again after 3 surgeries(two repairs)

his stool is still by passing the iliostomy(small intestines) and going into the

colon. Well the dreaded time has come, Saterday is his pull thru surgery(bumped

ahead due to all the problems). His surgeon stated they plan to remove about

25%-30% of his colon, she well determine for sure once in there. It was also

announced that he well be recieving a G-button(feeding button). I was a little

takin back but she said it most likely well be temporary. We have worked so hard

all these years to avoid that, pureed foods, I syringe all day water into him

etc. but gonna get it now. A part of me is sooo mentally tired and am trying to

see the good of him getting it. No more fighting to get him to accept

fluids(refuses all fluids), now he well be able to have juices etc etc. Now his

script of 3 pedia sures a day well be covered by our insurance. They refused to

cover it due to they only well with feeding tubes. But he requires it daily by

doc script and I blended it into his pureeds/got it in him with out feeding

tubes, so now I have the pleasure of announcing to/letting our insurance

know...there turn to pick the tab up:)Well we are exhausted, you know how these

hospitals are, very little sleep! But just wanted to get the feelings out on

keyboard and update you all! Hope all is well with everyone and I pray there is

lots of poo:)(after saterday, looks like ours well be extreme opposite, cronic

stooling possibly, guess we'll see then)! Jennie<><
