Guest guest
I was here about 19 months ago. I didn't say much because I was due to have surgery and that was going to " fix " my pain! Well here I am all these months later, three total reconstructive cervical fusions later...and ready to die! The pain is sooooo horrible. The doc wound up fusing C3-C7 anterior and C5-C7 posterior. It has been a longggggg road! To top it off, I am just now getting referred to a pain specialist and my surgeon " doesn't do long-term pain management " ...NOW he tells me!! So I am without pain meds...doc tells me to take Ibuprofen....ya right! I am not one to reach out, but it's either do that or follow through with my own way of 'pain management'....so here I am. I don't want to have to be here...I don't want any of us to have to be here!! What can I do to help myself stay safe until I can get all the 'ducks in a row' and get my medical support team in place? I don't feel like I have a lot of time...the pain is just too great. Thanks for letting me vent ... and for welcoming me back after all this time. twheeler
