What stool softener do they say are safe for children?Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerrySender: miralax Date: Sat, 28 May 2011 14:12:06 -0700 (PDT)To: <miralax >ReplyTo: miralax Subject: Re: Re: Colon Pure- fiber supplement 5 days is long. Miralax states for occasional constipation but docs are recommending even when they're completely clogged which is very dangerous. It's like giving drano when the pipe is completely clogged. The Miralax has no where to go and becomes absorbed among other issues as it keeps pulling water and salt from the brain if not deficated immediately. The company also states not to give to children. Sounds like you need to find someone who knows allergens like Chiros, stool samples and diagnostic stool testing. Which in turn is what made me join this group. LOL. Not long after starting the Miralax my sons tics came back so I stopped using it. I had thought the fiber since it seems my son is like me because when he does go he doesn't strain it is just not regular and as I said sometimes 5 days in between. He is also sensitive to Magnesium products although we still haven't figured that one out yet and I am actually going to take him to a new Dr. this week since the current on isn't able to explain all these food and chemical sensitivities to me. He is also either allergic to milk or intolerant. Either way we are dairy free and prune juice didn't work either. He has sooo many intolerances it is hard to find anything that he can take. He cannot have apple juice and cherry juice doesn't work either. I will check out those other ones and see if any of them might work. Thanks for theadvice. Sorry I didn't put more details in my original post. I am also thinking of trying aloe vera juice. But will have to check into it to see if it is related to any of the things he is allergic too. He is also allergic to most seasonal pollens and things related to that. Plus his Dr. thinks he has Leaky Gut Syndrome. Thanks again. Oh and what is considered long periods? I thought 5 days was a long time. >> I think it's a stool softener you're looking for, when one hasn't gone, the > medical professionals don't typically recommend fiber if they haven't gone for > long periods, as it bulks it up more.
