Guest guest
I have been on Effexor for my depression for over 3yrs. I 1st started out on 75mgs and then was increased slowly up to 300mgs per day. For 4 months i have decreased myself back down to 75mgs. This is with my Drs. knowledge. I have noticed that my depression has not been as " dark " as when i was 1st injured. I really believe this has come with " acceptance " of my injury and the limitations that comes with it. I actually had to fight with my Dr in order to go back to work, he wanted me to apply for SSDI, but being a single parent of a teenager this was not a possibility for me. I remember telling my Dr, " no problem, i will apply if you will pay the difference of my paycheck that SSDI does not cover. " So needless to say i am back at work, fulltime! Not just a matter of choice but of need.
