Hi,

My name is Tammy and I am the parent of two Type 1 son's. I just

joined your list today and did not have any time to go through the

archives, but I am guessing that most of you on the list are

diabetics yourselves.

I wanted to send this out quickly to let you know I am hosting a

special chat at http://www.drkoop.com today-Sunday the 26th called

Living Healthy With Diabetes. The name may be a little misleading as

I am not planning on it being an informative chat as much as I would

like it to be a support group chat.

The chat is from 8-9 pm eastern time (7 central) in the Kitchen. I

know-I should just be in there making snacks for when s are

on..but that will have to wait till after-lol.

I hope no ones feels like you have just been spammed with a drkoop

adverisement! I already host a chat there on Friday nights for

Juvenile Diabetes, and the guest for that are mainly parents like

myself. The reason I posted here really is to maybe find someone who

would be interested in hosting a chat at drkoop about having diabetes

themselves. We don't have one right now and I think it would be

great to see one started. I can relate what it's like to be the

parent of a diabetic-but I am not one myself and I think it takes

someone who has walked in those shoes to really relate to what others

are going through.

If anyone is interested please come to the chat tonight.
