Hi, I am new to this group, but not to this pain. I had a little one

two years ago. Ever since then pain has been increasing. I noticed

it first in my foot. After a while, I have noticed it in my whole

body, but not consistantly. I can be fine one minute the next in

terrible pain. I mostly have it in my joints, but can have it go

into other parts of my body. Like right now its my wrists, but its

currently in my fingers as well. I have stiffness when I wake up in

the morning as well as sometimes headaches. Sometimes the pain is so

bad that I can not move. Other symptoms as well, but these are the

main ones.

I went to my dr last week. She gave me a prescription for an

antidepresant and told me she will treat me " like " I have

fibromyalgia. (She did not even test my tender/trigger points.)

Which is what I think I may have, but I am not sure. I was unhappy

with the diagnosis. I have been down this road of " all in your head "

when I was diagnosed with vulvodynia when I was 20. Now 26 I do not

want to deal with that again. I am not looking for anyone to

diagnose me here, but would like to know what others think and who

else has these same symptoms and what road did they take to get the

pain under control.

I got a massage for my first time today. When I was massage in my

trigger/tender points it hurt. Not enough to make me jump up, but it

was mostly in my shoulder blade, neck and knee area.

I would apperciate any input.
