Volunteer. Look for something that's flexible, and describe your

needs/limitations in advance. There are a million different kinds of

volunteer opportunities out there. You can still contribute.

Also, have you ever tried meditation? I strongly recommend it. It

will help you stay calm and cope with the pain and the frustrations.

I wish you the best.

Welcome. Sorry for all the pain you are suffering with. The cold

weather really can cause so much pain. Hopefully you will respond to

medication and will be able to be more active again. What meds are

you on? I have had good luck with Enbrel. I don't like the sounds of

your legs going numb. Do you have RA in your spine? If your doctor

isn't listening to you, it may be time to see another doctor.

At the present time I am on Humhera, Plaquneil, 40 mg of Oxycotyn twice

a day, 150 mg of effexor, and 750 mg of muscle relaxers twice a day. My

next Doc. appt. is feb. 9 and I am going to discss the numbnes again. My

mom is 65 and she has had both knees replaced,, vert. in her kneck

fuised, both wrist have been operated on, but she still hurts. I have

had my knees operated on but it does not seem to be any difference. I

guess I will have to get used to the pain. Thanks for the kind words.
