Guest guest
, Sure makes me wonder if you were iron deficient and missed it. Iron carries oxygen and if you are low you have less ability to oxygenate and heal too. Maybe they could still check the ferritin, iron level, iron saturation, and total iron binding capacity. These can also be way off even if your hemoglobin and hematocrit are within normal levels. As I mentioned mine was 10.4 with 12-14 being acceptable for women but my mother-in-laws hemoglobin dropped to 5 and she had two transfusions after being in my home during wallpaper stripping. My African Gray parrot's hematocrit dropped to 13 with 48 being normal for a bird. Sure wish there was some research to correlate this. My ferritin was 7 with under 20 low and should be up to 300-this is the amount of iron stored in the liver. My iron level was 26 with 54 low normal, my iron saturation in my blood was 6 with 26 being the low normal and my total iron binding capacity was 470 with 350 being acceptable high. It is high because it cannot bind and is useless. You could still request this be done. My albumin is also very low and on the Internet it says causes are malnutrition...I am not anorexic or bulimic and eat very well!! I take iron and vitamin C to help absorption of the vit. C and eat lots of protein. I am very conscious of nutrition and its importance. I should not have low iron because I had a hysterectomy and my stool hemoccults were negative. It is a mystery but for some reason my bone marrow must be suppressed. That is why I am seeing an environmental specialist. Hope you can get a better explanation for the low oxygen levels. It almost makes me think they had to check your iron too! Take Care and hope this craziness ends for all of us soon. I hope my house is habitable when this is over for us and the parrots. Will get exit cultures back in about two weeks. Thanks Again, Jan
Guest guest
, I loved your verse Isaiah 40:31 and tend to think of this as God's little bump in my road. It keeps me sane. Did you get lesions on your legs that just popped out about a dime to quarter size red and ugly and take about three weeks to disappear? I think the Allegra and Diflucan have greatly helped the itching and sinus and the anti fungal seems to lessen the amount of lesions that have appeared..I had 15 on one leg in last year. And three fungal nails and 4 that developed red inflammation around the skin surrounding the nailbed and now the nail is growing in with thin lumpy ridges and is ugly! Did your eyes burn or your vision or eye prescription change a great deal in the time you were exposed?? i also had a lump that developed under my arm and had to be biopsied. It is just too many things for one year and all of it since the hot water pipe burst a year ago April . Too bad they did $30,000 worth of bandaid renovations and did not listen to my 3 requests to do mold cultures! Keep me posted if you have any new info and let me know how the media meeting goes. Thanks, Jan
