Guest guest
Are you perfect? by Jane “Perfection is a point of view.†Are you the kind of woman who would stretch yourself to make EVERYTHING just right? A tad this side or that and you feel like a horrid failure? Women want to be the best for their families, their friends, and even for themselves. But does being perfect mean a perfect 10 in everything? When you focus only on perfection, life becomes a race. The thrill is there at the beginning, but soon you are panting to reach the finish line. You want to excel at work, cook the perfect dish, teach your little ones all the best values, never blow your top, keep your husband smiling, participate in brownie meets, AND host a welcome party for your neighbor. Clearly, this is asking too much. Perfection is what YOU make of it. Often, in our bid to excel in one thing, we horribly fail at others. Excel where you can. For the rest, a good effort should suffice. There is no one to compete with or compare yourself to. Remember, you DON’T have to be #1 in EVERY RACE! This Beautiful Moment Take in the beauty of this moment and let it fill you. But do not try to hold it. For as soon as you seek to possess it, the beauty is lost. When you grasp it too tightly, you lose the ability to Experience it. Let this beautiful moment flow toward you, and then let it flow away from you as the next moment comes to take its place. Allow the beautiful experience of life to be born again and again. The real value of this moment is in the way you live it. Live it fully, lovingly, gratefully, and there is no need to hold on to it, for the best of it will always be a part of you. Each moment offers its own special treasure. Let go of your need to judge, to analyze, to possess, and simply experience the wonder that is yours right now. You are free in this moment to live, to create, to give, to grow. Lovingly open your eyes to the abundant possibilities, and dive gently into this beautiful moment. What's possible is anything. What's possible, is everything. What's possible is possible now. What's possible is possible for you. You can't undo what's already happened. However, you can choose right now from a limitless array of what's possible as you move forward. Don't limit your thinking to just what's likely or what's probable. Infinitely expand your choices by considering all that is possible. If you feel stuck, it's probably because you are holding your imagination back. Consider what you've not yet considered, and expect much more than you've ever dared to expect. Open yourself to what's possible. And delight in living the best of the possibilities. Ralph Marston
