Guest guest
, I couldn't agree with you more. I think it should be illegal too! I had my injections done today, 3 on the left side, and wow was it painful. I have to go back and have the right side done in 2 weeks, and I think I'm asking for a sedative or something! He did them at the lumbrosacral level. They weren't actually IN my spine, but rather, along side of it. I think he doesn't like to numb because I wouldn't be able to tell him where the pain was otherwise, or if it was worse in some places, etc. My pain doctor is really nice though. He talks away to me through the whole procedure, trying to keep my mind off of what he is doing. He asks me questions, like today, he asked me what I had planned for Easter, and he tells me if other patients have really crazy plans. And at the end he was like " We're almost done sweetie. " The anesthetic has worn off now though, and I'm a little bit tender. I have some slight bruising this time, which is hit or miss. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I was hoping today would be it though....it really sucks that I have to go back in 2 weeks to get the other side done! Thank goodness I just found out I can take a medical day for them, rather than using my vacation days! Jen
