You are right every chapter is different...keep trying until you find one you like. I joined TOPS after I had lost 51 pounds and I felt I should do whatever it took to be successful. Even though I have a lot of great support online there is a lot to be said for face to face support. Plus I love the accountability of weighing in every week, I think this will be especially helpful for maintenance. Guest guest
I do have Sjogren's. It's been pretty bad too. I was taking Salagen for the dry mouth, but it didn't do a lot for me. I still take it when the Sjogren's gets really bad. Problem is, though, I work in surgery. Salagen makes me have to pee so dag-gone much that I stopped taking it when I went back to work. Can't exactly leave the patient asleep having surgery and tell the doctor he is on his own while I go pee!!! :-) Plaquenal hasn't helped. I did find one thing, however, that is helpful for the dry mouth for short periods of time. It's a cany called " Aqua-Drops " . They now make them in sugar-free. They have several different flavors. It's just a hard candy that makes you salavate. They work well. I got a friend of mine on them too because the chemotherapy she is on causes her mouth to go dry. That's good that you are getting the ultrasound. Hopefully everything will normal. Good luck with your appointment. Keep me posted, ok!?!? Take care...Marina > thanks, marina... i sure hope i can get another medication that works.. my doctor has made an appointment for me to get an ultra sound of my liver... maybe things will be good in liover land for me, too... ha ha ha > do you have sjogrens, also??? they say plaquinel if good for that... has anyone lse had good luck with that??? > > later, rae >
