Im new to this group, and have been reading all that ya'll have had to offer the

last couple of days, and have found it most helpful.

Ive been diagnosed with a-fib for the last 3 years, and until recently have been

bouncing off the walls, trying to understand what has been happening to me, and

how this a-fib thing comes up. Numerous trips to the emergency room, feeling

like my chest was going to explode, lay on a hard table, or admitted, then home

back in normal sinus, and just fine until the next time. Usually about every

month or so. Ive had cardio conversion, and the usual meds along with a pace

maker installed for a-fib and bradycardia.

At the beginning of this year, I was admitted to the hospital, and had a new and

caring doctr assigned, and life is now much better. I stayed out of a-fib for 3

months, and life was full and good. Just had a 5 day bout of a-fib to keep me

in reality, but sotalol has converted me again. So far so good.

From what Im reading, diet may be a big help too, and Im keeping a food diary,

along with how Im feeling at the time. Anything is worth a try. I do feel much

better, just knowing that there are others out there that know and understand

what Im going through, and not just telling me its incurable, just learn to live

with it. that will be $115.00 please. Take care, and keep in touch Walt in
