I'm glad you have come out of Lurkville. What shall we call you? It's always

nice to have a first name, or a nick name.

Hi All !! I have been a member of this group for quite some time,

and I'm guilty of just reading , and appreciating the posts here. So I

thought I'd finally take a gulp and join in . especially when I saw a

few things about pain that really interest me. Me : I've had chronic

pain now for about 5+ years. With a fall at work that just started

with a sprained ankle and knee. Which did not give me too much problem

until about 6 months later ...and then gradually I'm up to a Pain level

of mostly 9 ALL of the time. Especially after any extended

sitting, walking, standing, ect. And it can start after just 6 mins or so .

I've tried all of the stuff..PT um any shot that you can think

of ..epidurals, ect. My pain medication dosages are quite HIGH

Oxycontin, Oxycodone,Lyrcia, provigil, ect, ect. Also on psych meds for

depression.. which includes Cymbalta which has helped me alot. Because

in the last ..say 10 years I've probly tried every anti-depressant out

there. That's true with Pain meds.too. My PM dr just keeps trying other

meds increasing dosages and so on. Luckily I've not had any problems

from side effects.

Enough background junk... I was reading the posts on the nerve

stimulator and found them quite interesting and imfomative.Due to the

fact that my Dr. has reached the point where I really can't be put on

anything higher than what I'm using.

Thanks for this great group and this wonderful way of yaking to others

that understand.. It's so needed.
