Guest guest
i wondered if anybody else had that. my right hand ( which is my wrose one ) falls asleep when i'm asleep too.and my left foot. i was getting kind of worried about it.................. thanks mike blueroses11 <bluerose11@...> wrote: Cile, I am so glad that you found something that would help you. I am glad - very glad - that the doctor prescribed methadone for you. I " assume " you have been going to that doctor for a while and he knows you. I sometimes have pain so bad that I want to scream and I don't understand why. My arms and legs go to sleep while I am sleeping and the blood somehow gets cut off. In my arms they called it thoracic outlet syndrome but never have offered me anything to help me. I wonder sometimes if these doctors have a clue as to how to help us or if they just see dozens of patients a day and then go home thinking they have done something wonderful while their patients just go home to await the 60 days till they see the doctor again. I have gotten some help over the years but I still wonder as the years add up and nothing is really done to help me and the pain just increases. I think today is beginning as one of my down in the dump days - tomorrow will be another uplifting day - or later today I will get out of this glum...lol I am going to the kitchen to make myself some homemade pecan sticky buns - another 5 pounds but who cares... only the scale that groans now when I get on it...lol Well, smile all and wonder with me about when we are going to get some real relief - God bless, Althea
Guest guest
I have not been diagnosed yet but one of my main concerns (besides the pain) was the numbness in my hands when I woke in the mornings. My left was always the worse ... my left shoulder causes me the most pain. I just had blood tests done last week to help diagnose the pain but my doctor did find out from the first lab work that I needed thyroid medication. Since I started taking that, the pain and the numbness seemed to have gone away. But the pain is back now. I'm wondering if the thyroid medication, Synthroid, had something to do with the numbness or if it will be something that ebbs and flows like the pain ... ? Guest guest
Pattie, I was diagnosed as low thyroid but not too low but the lowest numbers that they could still call normal. I took Synthroid for a while and did see improvements in my hair and fingernails but with all the rest of the drugs they kept putting me on back then I can't say if it did anything else. I hope that it will help you - thyroid problems seem to go hand in hand with most RA patients. God bless, Althea
