Guest guest
Hmmm, I get swelling and stuff and call the doc, but by the time I go in, even if it is the next day, lots of times it is something entirely different swollen thatn what I called about. Or, sometimes on doc appt day NOTHING is swollen, that always gets me. I am noticing some strange little thing... first it can be one finger, maybe the joint at the tip, maybe the joint at the base in my hand for that finger...just always different places. I think each knee of mine has 4 different places it might swell. SOmething else I noticed, pain does not always go hand in hand with how outwardly obvious the swelling is, things can swell a lot and look terrible and not be too painful, on occasion I can have very little swelling and massive impairment of function. SOmetimes it is NOT in a joint, sometimes it is in a muscle or tendon. Seems then it takes a little longer to subside... ANother thing I noticed is even if something is not real red and obvious to look at, if I take a warm bath, then the area will become VERY VERY bright red and very obvious as to exactly where the pain is originating very specifically. I am not sure, I do have the diagnosis for RA, but I read the article posted here about connective tissue, who knows? My doc really was stuck on the symmetry stuff. - and I think if I remember right, he also said some of the joints I complain about are very non typical for RA...and he said it would not be one finger but all of them at a time? Who knows? I know the mtx has made a huge difference. I know every 2-3 months he does the blood work for mtx and also for various other things...and he is talking about adding Remicade. - In , aclavern33@a... wrote: > > I am also not symetrical as well.
