Guest guest
My only question here is will some of the remedies cancel each other out--for example taking Olive Leaf Extract could render an antibiotic ineffective. MMS sounds like a Godsend, but I don't know if it will interfere with Doxy. Just wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge about this. But just knowing youare there and willing to post if you feel you had some advice that was not beingshared means a lot to me.I feel an obligation to share with you all the treatment plan I have chosen. Those who have read my original post know when I posted the first time, I didnot have any sign of lyme, I just pulled a deer tick off of me. Since I am onewho encourages anyone in that situation to get on Doxy immediately, I surprisedeven myself by stalling. I have struggled with candida for many years and justin recent years have it under control. Going on abx unnecessarily is justsomething I really did not want to do.However, watching my son suffer many years from the horrendous effects of lyme,I knew I wanted avoid lyme way more than a candida flare-up. I decided to see myND that muscle-tested me on various natural supps. for lyme. I tested positivefor pretty many, which told us that the chance were great that I had indeedcontacted lyme. I decided to take the supps I tested for, but I also called myDr and got some Doxy. Here is a list of all that I am taking daily forfirst-stage lyme.Doxycycline (100mg 2X) I got a 30-day supply, I may try to talk him into a6-week treatment. Let me know your thoughts on this one.MMS (1 drop, activated, hourly for 8 hrs.) I am going to try to up this to 3drop doses.Cat's Claw Tincture (1 tsp.)Sarsaparilla (6 dropperfuls)Silver Shield from Nature Sunshine (1 tsp.)Iodine (topically)I am posting this to share my experience, but also for you guys to critique. This may sound like an over-kill but I figure I have this one chance to nip itin the bud.The rash showed up approx. 36 hrs ago and I started the Doxy 24 hrs ago. Guest guest
Malinda, I'm worried you are going to send yourself into an out of control herx. It's sounding more and more from Jim, that this was his problem (not sure I have it right) and he still hasn't recovered. What about just the Doxy and maybe the MMS, and not MMS all day. Just scaling up, daily; one drop today, one drop for two hours tomorrow, one drop 3x, etc. Once you are at 1 drop all day, you could move to 2 drops all day. You are going to know by tomorrow or the next day where your herx is at. If it were me, I'd back off tomorrow and wait a day or two before adding MMS to the mix - oh and detox. Then, I'd just do doxy, working through the full MMS protocol, iodine and probiotics. But, that's me.So many of us have had those herxes that are scary bad. I don't want that to happen to you. Oh, I'd be coiling or rifing too - once I knew where my herx was at.I don't think there is a problem with MMS and Doxy, but I think the MMS and silver is not a good combo - if memory serves me correct. And, my other thought is that you won't have a big herx if you hit it hard because you haven't been infected long. So hit away! IDK - you probably have other stuff you'll hit too. Whatever you do, please think about backing off as soon as you begin herxing. Doxycycline (100mg 2X) I got a 30-day supply, I may try to talk him into a 6-week treatment. Let me know your thoughts on this one. MMS (1 drop, activated, hourly for 8 hrs.) I am going to try to up this to 3 drop doses. Cat's Claw Tincture (1 tsp.) Guest guest
Hi Malinda, I saw in your original post that you got muscle tested. My Dr. muscle tests me for compatibility of the many different items I take to combat the LD and strenghthen/support my organs & immune system. It's always worked wonderfully for me...muscle test your regimen. I'm glad you found the buggers at the beginning of their invasion. Good luck to you! - Misty > > > My only question here is will some of the remedies cancel each other out--for example taking Olive Leaf Extract could render an antibiotic ineffective. Guest guest
I did muscle-test positive for everything together without the doxycycline. I did not have any doxy at that time to test with. But I am pretty sure my ND said it don't work to muscle-test for antiobiotics. I forget why. I think he said the body always rejects it. Although, he did recommend I go on it. Does anyone else know about that? > > > > > > My only question here is will some of the remedies cancel each other out--for example taking Olive Leaf Extract could render an antibiotic ineffective. Guest guest
Do you think I would get a big herx since I only have recently been infected? I did not, as far as I know have lyme before this recent bite. Today I am feeling a little blah. Slightly nauseous and some muscle soreness. The ring is still slightly visible, which surprises me a little bit. I thought if I remember correctly from eleven years ago, my sons went away within approx. 24 hrs after starting abx. Maybe I just forget and it was longer. Today I have a visit with the Dr that prescribed the doxy by phone on Sat. It will be interesting to see what he has to say. He is a LLMD, just not sure how much he may know about MMS, but I am pretty sure he would be familiar with cats claw and silver. Thanks again for your concern. Guest guest
Hi Malinda,Having decided I want my household stocked with 6 weeks' worth of doxy, in case any loved one gets bitten, I researched and found that alldaychemist.com sells it. It's a reputable, offshore source (India), from which I've received other generic drugs, and though there's a page for doctor info, if you skip it, the order will still be filled. Shipping is pricey and takes a couple weeks, but the drugs aren't expensive and are top-notch.Just thought you'd want to know, if your doc balks at longer than a month's worth.Be well,LénaDo you think I would get a big herx since I only have recently been infected? Guest guest
Hi Malinda, I was muscle-tested for abx for Lyme and tested negative to use abx. He has also tested other Lymies for abx and herbal remedies - it work together positively: Especially to help support and build specific organs and systems within the body to help cleanse and protect them from damage/inflammation from the neurotoxins released by the dead spriros. For me, the abx would make my body weaker...have problems, and be " set back " by them. (Hey! Have your doc test you for rife treatments.) Have you read " When Antibiotics Fail...Lyme Disease & Rife Machines " by Rosner? I thought it was interesting and believe it to be true when he states that abx can kill some of the spirochetes, but many of them " hide " , by forming a cyst around themselves, when abx is detected by the spiros. While they're in the cyst, there is documentation that as many as 5 new spirochetes can form. The beefed up army of spiros come out of their cysts when the immune system is stressed/weak. He has sound research that if you want to kill the LD (CHRONIC LD), it is best to go off the abx and do rife treatments. I can't remember how new your infection is...if it's new, the studies show that abx use works well and efficiently...but some may " hide " . Remember long, long term use of high dosages of antibiotics is toxic to the body. I'm not anti anti-biotics...just a friendly reminder. Also, I use a homeopathic remedy that greatly reduces my LD symptoms and herxing symptoms. It also helps the immune system fight the buggers. It's called " Lym " by Deseret Biologicals and I've used " Borrelia Remedy " by the same company. They have been a Godsend. I was muscle-tested for the dosing and which product to use. I have far fewer seizures and do not suffer from daily parathesis since taking the remedies. (I also took other supplements as well, but the borrelia remedy worked wonders (the Lym does too). I hope I didn't get too long-winded. I wish you the best. Keep fighting...what a blessing that you found it early on. > > > > > > > > > My only question here is will some of the remedies cancel each other out--for example taking Olive Leaf Extract could render an antibiotic ineffective. Guest guest
LenaThanks so much for posting this! I have a good friend from India. Almost all the meds over there are over the counter, mostly generic. She always offers for me, but there's nothing I need. When she gets things for herself, a month's supply is like a dollar or two or three. Everything is sealed and blister packaged. I'm sure it's a bit more online, but still a great idea. A back up of doxy is smart! My doc would give it to me, but that would take at least 3-4 days, too long in my mind.  Hi Malinda,Having decided I want my household stocked with 6 weeks' worth of doxy, in case any loved one gets bitten, I researched and found that alldaychemist.com sells it. Guest guest
Malinda,It sounds like the herx is beginning and could really grow if you don't slow down on everything but doxy. Remember, you may have been recently infected with Lyme, but who knows what other bugs, pathogens and parasites your immune system has kept in checked. You are now using a broad spectrum and killing lots of bugs, not to mention that as you are killing lots of bugs many of them are releasing heavy metals. You DO NOT want an excess of HM circulating in your blood stream. You can only process out so many and the rest will resettle somewhere - possibly your brain. Please, please please, may I suggest you spend the day detoxing using plenty of binders. Guest guest
, If you go this route, do it soon, though, as shipping IS slow, and you'd want to get some before your stateside scrip runs out. LLenaThanks so much for posting this! Hi Malinda,Having decided I want my household stocked with 6 weeks' worth of doxy, in case any loved one gets bitten, I researched and found thatalldaychemist.com sells it. Guest guest
Thank you, Lena! That is valuable info for sure! I was not able to make a appt today with the LLMD, I had to set it up for Wed. If he will not extend my prescription, I think I will be using this outfit. I feel pretty fortunate to be near a Dr that readily calls a Rx into the pharmacy immediately when I call. But I hope everyone out there that does not have it so well, sees this message. God bless~Malinda > > > > Malinda, I'm worried you are going to send yourself into an out of > control > > herx. Guest guest
Hi Dea, MMS does not interfere with any medications, has been used with Doxy extensively, also will not interfere with supps... Except that Vit C will render MMS useless, so must be taken 2 hour apart, also antioxidant supplements, they can lessen MMS somewhat, so take 1 hr apart... Natural antioxidants from food do not affect MMS... Take care Jim > > > My only question here is will some of the remedies cancel each other out--for example taking Olive Leaf Extract could render an antibiotic ineffective. MMS sounds like a Godsend, but I don't know if it will interfere with Doxy. Just wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge about this. > Dea > > > > > To: Lyme_and_Rife > From: malindabross@... > Date: Sun, 19 Jun 2011 18:12:11 +0000 > Subject: Treating a deer tick bite w/ bulls-eye rash > > > > > > > Hi everyone, > I want to thank everyone who responded to my cry for help. Guest guest
Hi and Malinda, Using MMS and CS will render MMS useless... CS is a heavy metal, MMS will be spent on much of oxidizing this heavy metal... MMS does everything CS does and far more, both aren't needed... Guest guest
Hi Malinda, Your herx with your new infection should be more muted, the bacteria has not had much time to reproduce to a large enough infection yet.. When Dr. Burrascano started treating an acute infection, he used 300 - 600 mg of Doxy daily, as he says it is so important to keep blood serum levels high.. Don't use the silver, it will render MMS useless as MMS will be spent on oxidizing the heavy metals of with silver is... MMS does far more than silver, so it is not necessary... Take care, Jim > > > > Malinda, I'm worried you are going to send yourself into an out of control > > herx. Guest guest
Thanks Jim, I appreciate this info. I have been taking CS around 8AM and start my 8-hr. protocol of MMS at 3PM. Is that still a problem? Also, when I get to 3 drops hourly for 8 hrs., do I stay at that amount or do I still try to get more in? Guest guest
Hi Malinda, CS unlike MMS, remains in the body for some time... Each time MMS collides with it, that ion of MMS gets used up on CS, not available for a pathogen.. Since MMS does all that CS does and a lot more, there is really no reason to use CS.. Once you are at 3 drops for 8 hours, you could decided to remain as is, add more drops per hour or add more hours.. Since you are also going to use Doxy, I think you are covered using both Doxy and MMS 3 x 8... But if at any time you feel this is not enough, adding hours is better than adding drops.. Some (not on our group) are using 3 drops per hour for 15 hours... This makes more sense as you have MMS working in your longer... When you think about it, Doxy 200 mg and MMS 24 drops daily is pretty powerful, this is a small infection right now, so this should easily be enough.. Rememeber while using both together, if you experience nausea, diarrhea or fatigue, best to lower the MMS by several drops for 3 days, then try scaling up again... These symptoms are signs of killing too much too quickly... If you still have that red circle around the bite, activate 3 drops of MMS, add 1 oz of water and apply to the bite site, if you have DMSO, then apply it on top of the MMS... Do this daily. Normally Doxy alone has an 80% success rate for the acute phase, add in MMS, should be just about 100%... I would feel comfy with this protocol..
