Yes, I'm in an interesting "space", LTD issurance covers two years of SAME JOB (that I was doing when I took sick)... well that job was 16 hrs/day 7 days/week with International Travel, High Stress, responsible for systems that booked ~ 9 billion of revenue per year. Well, I'm no where near that degree of recovery yet. My recovery improves if I do a lot of light physical activities (for example, Laurie and I usually do 2-3 hrs of walking a day - her limit) and then I do gardening etc.

I am pushing for the maximum recovery that I can before having to return to work - but technically, I would have no trouble working fulltime as a cashier or help-desk support today.... I just lucked out in this extra recovery window that I am using to raise my sights higher for a return to work.

Busy feeling out the market place (since my business was software) - startups, etc. During this period I will be very very picky about accepting any job... it has to work with the recovery well or I am not interested.... my resume is at http://www.folkarts.com/kenl/ if you are interested...

I'm on my 2nd type of prescription antibiotics now, when I get to the 4th or 5th variety of antibiotics (I do rotating antibiotics per the Rickettsia protocols) - then I should be recovered with little chance of relapse. The current gotcha is that a new antibiotic can produce intense herxheimer reaction which would put me on sick leave for 2-3 weeks until the herx subsides --- it is hard to take a job when you will be off 2 weeks every 2 months -- especially if the job is management... But once the herx dies off - I am real real good.. I just have a few more 'herx seasons' to go....

Re: OT-Ken

Ken,Just curious. You seem to be an active poster. Since you are recovered, I'm curious if you are able to work.Jim
