My son bought the phone for us, no monthly fees. I pick up a $10 card every two months. We only use it for taking in the car and for emergency calls. If I remember to buy a new card before the 2 mos is up, what minutes I have not used are carried over. When I have enough unused minutes I make a long distance phone call. Hope this helps.
