Guest guest
Hi, I joined this group about a month ago and have been gathering information since then. My morning bs was runing around 130 to 150. I have been listening to the information concerning Carb intake and have been trying to watch what I eat. Yesterday my fasting bs was 131 and this morning it was 120 It has slowly come down and I believe it is because I am watching my Carb intake. Yesterday I was going to eat a couple of sausage patties for breakfast. Instead of eating two pieces of toast, I ate one and cut it into fourths. This morning for breakfast, I had two boiled eggs and two pieces of cheadar cheese. The cheese said on the package that it contained 0 carbs. I am starting to loose some weight also. So thanks for all the good information that you givve to the group Thanks again, Jerry Litterell BMI calculator > Hi Pat. > > that BMI calculator is not offered as a service via my company blindsoftware.com, giggle, I just put that web page up there is all for us blind diabetics to use it if desired. Guest guest
Thanks, Harry I could not remember the 709! Re: BMI calculator To calculate your BMI (body mass index) do the following: 1. Multiply your present weight in pounds by the number 709. 2. Divide the product of the above calculation by your height in inches. 3. Divide the answer you got in step 2 above by your height in inches once more. You now have your BMI. The goal is to have a BMI of 25 or as near to it as possible. BMI's over 25 indicates over weight and BMI's under 25 indicate underweight. These are only approximations. A BMI of 30 or more indicates a serious obesity problem. While carbohydrates intake determine your glucose levels, only total calorie consumption per day determines your weight. As a general rule of thumb, it takes a caloric consumption of 10 calories per pound per day with moderate exercise to maintain your present weight.
