Hi all,

Just wondering if any of you have traced the cause of your PF back to

workplace exposure? I know that some of the most common causes are

asbestos and metal dust, moulds etc. Although my Dad has been given

the diagnosis of IPF, I wonder if the warehouse that he worked in

might have been the cause of his condition. It was a food storage

terminal with humidifiers and chiller/refrigerators, therefore damp

conditions and possible mould contamination.

Does anyone have any idea on how I might go about finding out if

others at his workplace have come down with the same thing?

At this point, I'm not really sure that it matters but am curious.

Hey Anne, I worked in a bad place but it is hard to get doctors to put a handle on what causes lung stuff. Juries are not good to us if we are too sick to testify. My lawyer wanted me to travel to west va and stay several days several times at my expense. I was unable to help him. I got nothing. Good luck, sorry your Dad is sick. Grey IPF 10-05
