If my eustachian tube is swollen, couldn't it press on something for the jaw?

Or maybe if the jaw is swollen, couldn't it put pressure on the eustachian tube.

I am not sure I am gonna buy in to what the ER doc said, after all. And maybe

it IS just an ear infection.
