Hi Angie,I had the same problem and tried everything! As I was on Salt & C, I didn't want to cut back on hydration, but my sleep was chopped up into small chunks and for a while, getting back to sleep was almost impossible as well. For severalk years, I recalled no dreams and suspect that i didn't get much REM sleep.I'd had good luck with Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCMs) treating other issues, so the last time I was talking with the folks at uncleyap.com, I asked about this. The man who takes orders said that many people find that Liu Wei Di Huang Wan helps balance kidney chi. At the time, he mentioned some other compound as well that they were out of (I guess there are different kidney imbalances) so I ordered these. I'm very conservative (and frugal) with new things, so instead of the 8 little teapills, 2 or 3x a day, as recommended on the jar, I started with 2, 3x a day and noticed fewer loo calls. Now I'm up to 3, 3x a day and have only one loo-call in the night! Today, I'm ordering other TCMs and will order a bunch more of this so I can ramp up further and perhaps sleep solid through the night. If you look into TCMs, there are three trustworthy brands that pass inspection in the US: Min Shan, Plum Flower, and Beijing Tong Wren Tang.(My Liu Wei Di Huang Wan is the latter) They're pretty reasonable, and though you may find much cheaper deals on the internet, I'd be careful of any other brands coming out of China, as they may not be trustworthy. I have no commercial interest in this product: just a very satisfied customer!Be well,LénaPlease guys what do I do about the nighttime frequent urination that has plagued me since this Lyme journey. For about 2 years now, I wake up about every one half to two hours at nite to pee. You can imagine what this has done to my sleep. I don't get any. Haven't gotten any in one and half years. I have tried to decrease fluid intake from 4pm to almost nothing, yet at nitetime, the frequent urination starts regardless. Anyone know why? And what can I do. I am at my wit's end. I believe if I can just sleep, some of these other symptoms may be better managed by me. Please help. Angie.

Hi Angie,I answered you in great length earlier and somehow lost it. so:in brief: Had the same problem, finally tried Liu Wei Di Huang Wan, a Traditional Chinese Medicine in the form of tea-pills. I was told by folks at uncleyap.com that this balances kidney chi, and I went from lots of loo-calls in the night to just one! I think there are a couple different tea-pills that address kidney balance: not necessarily one size fits all, but it worked for me. I'm very conservative and not using the full suggested dose yet, but so glad it works.BTW, not all TCM brands are equal: stick to the three well-recommended ones, inspected in the US: Min Shan, Plum Flower, Beijing Tong Ren Tang. Other good sites besides uncleyap.com are: morningstarhealth.com and chineseherbsdirect.com.Be well,LénaPlease guys what do I do about the nighttime frequent urination that has plagued me since this Lyme journey. Sorry Lena, after I posted the last entry, I recognized I had some questions. I

always do....lol.

How long have you had to take this? Did you see relief right away or it took a

while? Also does this remedy correct the imbalance so that you stop after a

while or it's an indefinite remedy?

If I can just have up to 2 hours uninterrupted sleep, I believe my health will

be so much better.

Angie.

Hi Angie, Most TCMs were developed in a culture where docs weren't paid until a condition resolved, so these herbal tea-pills generally brought about a resolution of issues, for normal people, in a month or so of 8, 3x a day, and then were taken only as needed. That said, Lymies are under continual attack; Chinese medicine calls Lyme the 'toxic fire'. I've been taking An Shen Bu Xin Wan for a couple years and it's calmed my mind, removed my negativity and helped brain fog...BUT, as a Lymie, I've learned that I must take it indefinitely. I don't care; it's saved my life and my sanity.I've only been using Liu Wei Di Huang Wan for a couple months, ramping up slowly, so I don't know whether it has brought a bout permanent change or not. I'm reluctant to stop and find out, and now that I know it works, will go to the full dose for a month and then see if stopping brings a return of the old water-works or if my kidneys have stabilized. I'm just so grateful to sometimes awaken in the night and realize I don't have to get fully awake and go to the loo, but roll over and return to sleep. Sleep is SO important to recovery.Be well,LénaSorry Lena, after I posted the last entry, I recognized I had some questions. I always do....lol. How long have you had to take this?
